Getting started

Pastidy is for Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit.

To start:

• Download Pastidy and run the installer.
• Open Pastidy. The dashboard shows the Activate page.
• Enter the email you bought with and your licence key. The key was emailed to you after purchase.
• Click Login. The notch appears at the top of your screen once you are signed in.

Activation and your PCs

Each licence works on one PC by default. You can see and log out the PCs using your licence on the My PCs page at https://pastidy.com/account, using your email and key.

If your licence is already used on another PC, log that PC out on the My PCs page, then sign in on this one.

Pastidy checks the licence again every 7 days. If your PC cannot reach the internet, Pastidy keeps working for 14 days after the last successful check, then asks you to sign in again.

If Pastidy says your PC's clock is wrong, correct the date and time in Windows, then open Pastidy again.

The notch

The notch is the bar at the top of your screen with your tools in it.

Hover over it to open it, or click it if you prefer click mode. Move away to close it.

• Choose a position, or drag it to another spot.
• Choose the tabs you want, and put them in your order.
• Pin the notch open with Keep open.
• Use Small mode to shrink it to a tile.
• Use Blur everything to hide the screen when someone is looking.

Quick paste

Press Ctrl + Alt + V anywhere to open your clipboard in the middle of the screen. Click an item to paste it into the app you were using.

Use the search box to find copies, apps and files as you type. Pinned items stay when you clear your copies.

Keyboard shortcuts

These shortcuts are built in:

• Ctrl + Shift + Space: open or close the notch
• Ctrl + Alt + V: quick paste
• Ctrl + Alt + M: mute or unmute the microphone
• Ctrl + Alt + R: start a voice note
• Ctrl + Alt + T: stop the voice note
• Ctrl + K: search modules in the dashboard
• Ctrl + Alt + 0 to 9: paste one of your last 10 copies

Tools and pages

Every page can be turned on or off in the notch from Modules in the dashboard.

• Clipboard: everything you copy, with pins, filters and text editing.
• Colors: pick colours from your screen and copy HEX, RGB, HSL or CMYK.
• Assets: keep files on shelves. Pastidy keeps a link to each file, so nothing is copied.
• Notes and To-dos: write notes with checklists and pictures. A to-do with a due time becomes a reminder.
• Timers: countdowns, a stopwatch, Pomodoro focus mode and a water counter.
• Time, Calendar and Weather: clocks, a calendar, reminders and the forecast.
• Controls: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dark mode, sound output, volume and brightness.
• Music and Sounds: now playing, ambient sounds, and the volume of each app.
• Cleaner: see what uses your disk space, and clean temporary files.
• Converter: turn pictures into PNG, JPG, PDF or ICO. Your originals are never changed.

Privacy and offline use

Your clipboard history, notes and files stay on your PC. Pastidy works offline. Only features you connect yourself, such as weather or a calendar link, need the internet.

Passwords and sensitive copies are skipped. Pause capture with one click from the notch or the tray icon.

Error messages

These are the messages you may see, and what to do:

• Check the email and key and try again: the email or key is missing or has a typing error. Check both, then try again.
• That email and key don't match a purchase: the email is not the one you bought with, or the key is wrong. Use the email from your order.
• This licence is already on another PC: log that PC out on My PCs at pastidy.com/account, then sign in here.
• This licence has been disabled. Contact hello@pastidy.com: the licence was blocked. Email us and we will help.
• Too many tries. Wait a minute and try again: you sent too many requests in a short time. Wait a minute.
• Too many wrong tries. The page is locked for 30 minutes: after four wrong tries, the sign-in page locks for 30 minutes.
• Can't reach Pastidy right now. Try again in a minute: check your internet connection, then try again.
• Your PC's clock is set back: correct the date and time in Windows, then open Pastidy again.
• Your licence check is overdue: connect to the internet and open Pastidy so it can check your licence.

Installer codes

If the installer stops, it returns one of these codes:

• 0: installed successfully
• 1602: the installation was cancelled
• 1638: another version is already installed. Uninstall it first
• 1618: another installation is already running. Finish it, then try again
• 112: not enough disk space. Free some space and try again
• 3010: a restart is needed to finish. Restart Windows
• 12002: network problem while installing. Check your connection and try again
• 1625: installation blocked by a security policy on this PC. Contact your IT team or email hello@pastidy.com
